Full Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled and committed individual to join our team as a: CHILD PROTECTION WORKER: Permanent Full Time $70,031 - $92,066 per year (34 hours per week) Under the mandate of the Child, Youth and Family Services Act, major responsibilities include: The investigation of complaints and referrals received concerning children possibly in need of protection; providing protection services to an assigned caseload; requests for service to adolescents and child abuse referrals; provision of emergency / crisis intervention service when required; providing organizational and administrative duties associated with the assigned caseload; working as an active team member, which includes back-up when necessary and participation in unit meetings. The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor of Social Work and/or a Master of Social Work from an accredited post-secondary educational institution. Candidates must also have a valid Ontario driver's license, access to a personal vehicle with a minimum occupancy of 4 - 5 passengers, and proof of two-million-dollar liability insurance coverage. The successful candidate will be required to provide a Vulnerable Sector check, and a Driver's Abstract from the Ministry of Transportation, satisfactory to the agency All employees of the organization are expected to demonstrate respect, empathy, and accountability to the children and families we serve and each other.
