Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited civil, environmental, or coastal engineering program.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Florida or ability to register via reciprocity.
• Over 20 years of experience in drainage design.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, ORD Drainage, Stormwise, ASAD, and HEC-RAS is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Florida stormwater regulations and permitting processes.
• Proficient writing skills for drainage design documents and technical reports.
• Strong mentorship and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical expert in stormwater and drainage engineering for public civil and transportation projects.
• Guide and provide technical oversight to project managers and junior staff, with possible supervisory duties.
• Develop and manage drainage and stormwater management strategies for infrastructure and transportation projects.
• Conduct design services including stormwater management, floodplain analysis, and watershed modeling.
• Perform quality assurance and quality control on design work performed by other team members.
• Collaborate with leadership on traditional or alternative project delivery methods.
• Assist in business development by developing Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) and participating in client interviews.
