Job Summary

Chief of School Safety/Resource Officer

The Chief of School Safety/Resource Officer is responsible for leading and overseeing school safety operations, ensuring a safe and secure learning environment for students and staff. This position requires law enforcement experience, a Basic P.O.S.T. Certificate, a valid California driver's license, CPR/First Aid certification, and the legal ability to possess a concealable firearm. Experience in educational settings and working with reservation-based children is preferred.

Key responsibilities include developing and implementing department policies and procedures, supervising school safety operations and budget management, conducting law enforcement and investigative activities, providing visible security presence on and off campus, and delivering educational programs related to safety. The role also focuses on building positive relationships among students, staff, families, and the community while promoting a safe and supportive school environment.
