The Chief Operations Officer reports to the CEO and provides strategic and operational leadership across all Elements business units. This role serves as the executive responsible for enterprise execution, partnering closely with the CEO to translate company vision, strategic priorities, and our business plan into consistent organizational execution across the company.

What You'll DoIn this leadership role, you will guide operational execution while helping build a strong, collaborative, and disciplined organization prepared for sustainable growth.
- Serve as the CEO's primary partner in turning vision and strategy into disciplined organizational execution
- Lead and support department heads and senior leaders, encouraging accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
- Oversee day-to-day operations across departments to ensure consistency, efficiency, and alignment with strategic goals.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve company-wide systems, processes, and policies that support growth and scalability.
- Monitor operational and financial metrics, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend thoughtful adjustments.
- Partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
- Support organizational structure and staffing decisions to ensure the right people and capacity are in place for future pipeline needs.
- Lead cross-departmental initiatives and strengthen communication between Development, Marketing, Operations, and Finance.
- Help resolve operational bottlenecks and support healthy internal and external relationships.
- Champion Elements' culture, values, and purpose through visible leadership, company updates, and participation in leadership meetings.
- Represent Elements in key vendor, partner, and industry relationships as appropriate.
- Coordinate execution across departments to ensure company priorities remain aligned and strategic commitments become measurable results.
- Help build the organizational capacity, leadership, and operating discipline required to support the company's future growth.
- Partner with the Executive Team to strengthen cross-functional collaboration while respecting the strategic leadership of each functional area.
Requirements
What We're Looking For- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree such as an MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in construction, operations, and/or business leadership, with a strong record of leading teams and supporting organizational growth.
- Strong understanding of business operations, company vision, culture, and measurable goals.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate big-picture goals into practical, accountable plans.
- High emotional intelligence, discernment, and ability to build trust with people at all levels.
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource management.
- Experience building and scaling systems, processes, teams, and operational infrastructure.
- Self-managed, disciplined, driven, and comfortable leading through both strategy and execution.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication skills, close attention to detail, and a collaborative leadership style.
