Overview

The Chief of Staff plays a key role in supporting the CEO and their leadership team in achieving strategic objectives, supporting critical enterprise priorities, and fostering communication across the organization. This position helps translate strategy into action through executive planning, organizational alignment, business analysis, and effective decision making.

The successful candidate brings strong business acumen, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships with senior leaders. They are comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment, balancing multiple priorities while advancing strategic objectives and supporting executive decision-making.

What You'll Focus On
  • Support CEO priorities, including preparing for quarterly Board meetings through agenda development, Board reporting, presentation materials, and executive briefings.
  • Prepare the CEO for external stakeholder meetings, including supplier engagements, communications, and briefing materials.
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests from the CEO and Executive Leadership Team by conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses, gathering information through internal collaboration and research, and providing insights and recommendations.
  • Develop and coordinate agendas and materials for weekly Executive Leadership Team meetings, monthly Operating Committee meetings, leadership offsites, and other executive governance activities.
  • Support preparation for the annual Board strategy offsite, including planning, coordination, and content development.
  • Drive key activities across the organization by gathering feedback from the CEO and executive leaders, coordinating with internal stakeholders, tracking progress, and ensuring priorities move forward.


What You Should Have

Strategic Thinking & Problem Solving
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 5+ years of progressive business experience.
  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen.
  • Passion for retail and customer service.
  • Excellent organizational and priority management skills.
  • Ability to drive solutions and navigate complex or ambiguous business challenges.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with the ability to leverage data and reporting to generate meaningful business insights.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport, trust, and credibility with senior stakeholders.
  • Comfortable interacting with Executive Leadership Teams, C-suite executives, Board members, and external partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others, lead change, and drive initiatives forward across the organization.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate across functions and manage competing stakeholder priorities.


Efficiency & Proactiveness
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize detailed information into concise executive and Board-ready materials.
  • Attention to detail with excellent planning, coordination, and follow-through.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bilingualism in French is an asset.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work from the Mississauga office as required by the CEO's schedule and business needs.
