Full Job Description
Title: Chief of Staff to the CEO
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer
Location: Remote with occasional travel
Position Type: Full-time
Compensation: $150,000 to $200,000 OTE + equity

This role takes the CEO's priorities and makes them real. You'll break big ideas into plans, keep the leadership team moving in the same direction, and personally drive the projects that don't have an obvious owner. Some days that means building a strategy memo for a new product line. Other days it means cleaning up a messy process, chasing down a deliverable, or jumping into a client problem yourself.

If you've worked at a startup before, you know exactly what that looks like. If you're someone who likes owning outcomes, moving quickly, and bringing order to chaos, we encourage you to apply.

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Turning vision into execution
  • Translate the CEO's goals into clear plans: owners, timelines, and milestones that the whole team can rally behind.
  • Own and drive high-priority, cross-functional initiatives from kickoff through completion.
  • Keep a running view of company priorities and flag when things are slipping, stuck, or out of sync.

Running the operating rhythm
  • Build and manage the leadership team's cadence: weekly exec meetings, quarterly planning, goal setting, and accountability on commitments.
  • Prepare agendas, pre-reads, and follow-ups so meetings end with decisions and next steps, not more questions.
  • Create lightweight systems for tracking goals and progress across the company.

Acting as the CEO's right hand
  • Prepare the CEO for key meetings with clients, partners, candidates, and industry leaders.
  • Draft internal memos, company updates, and external materials on the CEO's behalf.
  • Represent the CEO in meetings and decisions when he can't be there and know when to escalate.

Scaling the team
  • Support executive recruiting, including our upcoming CTO and Chief Product Officer searches, from process design through onboarding.
  • Help build the foundations new hires need to get up to speed quickly: documentation, onboarding plans, and clear expectations.

Getting your hands dirty
  • Jump into whatever the business needs most, whether that's a client escalation, a pricing analysis, a process fix, or a special project with a tight deadline.
  • Build the analysis behind big decisions, including new product bets, market expansion, and resource allocation.

REQUIREMENTS
  • 4 to 8 years of experience in some combination of startups, operations, strategy, consulting, or finance.
  • Previous startup experience is required. You've worked somewhere small and fast-growing, and you know what it takes.
  • Highly organized. You can juggle a dozen priorities without dropping any of them.
  • You move fast and are biased toward action, while still using good judgment about what matters most.
  • Strong written and verbal communication. You can make a complicated situation simple.
  • Comfortable with numbers and able to build a basic model or pull data to support a recommendation.
  • Trusted with sensitive information and able to handle hard conversations with discretion.
  • Willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done, with no task too big or too small.

It is a strong plus if you have:
  • Experience in political, nonprofit, fundraising, or data businesses.
  • Worked directly with a founder or CEO in a Chief of Staff, BizOps, or similar role.
  • Experience supporting a company through a period of rapid growth or a major transition.
