Full Job Description
Why this role

The Chief of Staff works directly with the CEO and senior leadership to keep the company's most important work moving, driving high-priority initiatives that cut across product, science, operations, and partnerships. To achieve this, the Chief of Staff will act as a strategic thought partner to the CEO and leadership team, helping drive the company's most important priorities forward.

This role combines high level strategic planning with hands-on execution, ensuring alignment across teams, streamlining operations, and maximizing the effectiveness of the executive team. You will work closely with leaders across science, engineering, product, business development, and operations in a fast paced, early-stage environment. This means you'll work at both high altitude (helping shaping and sharpening strategy) and low altitude (removing roadblocks, managing cross-functional projects, and making sure decisions stick). You'll also be trusted to handle sensitive, complex topics that require excellent judgment, adaptability, and cross-disciplinary fluency in healthcare and AI.
What you'll do

Strategic Planning & Execution
  • Support the CEO and executive team to define, prioritize, and track strategic initiatives.
  • Translate high-level vision and goals into actionable plans, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and prepare reports for leadership, investors, and partners.

Leadership Support & Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Prepare for and follow up on leadership meetings, ensuring clear decisions and accountability.
  • Serve as a communication bridge across departments to ensure alignment and information flow.
  • Manage special projects that span multiple teams, often with ambiguous scope and high strategic importance.

Operational Excellence
  • Help the leadership team optimize core operating processes, cadences, and decision making frameworks.
  • Identify and remove bottlenecks that slow down execution.
  • Support CEO and executive team in fundraising, investor relations, and strategic partnerships with research, analysis, and presentation preparation (pre-reads, briefing decks, coordinated follow-ups).

Culture & Team Effectiveness
  • Help build and maintain a high-performance, mission-driven culture.
  • Lead internal communications, all-hands planning, and key company events.
  • Act as a confidential sounding board for leadership and team members.
Minimum qualifications
  • 2-6+ years of experience in management consulting, strategy, operations, or Chief of Staff roles in a high-growth company or comparable experience. Healthcare experience required; health tech or AI preferred but not required.
  • Strong strategic thinking, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal, with an aptitude for simplifying complex concepts.
  • High EQ and ability to build trust quickly.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • High integrity, sound judgment, and a bias for action.
