Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
  • Lead TEMPO Modernization - Serve as the functional lead for DEQ's core system upgrades, guiding business requirements, coordinating with OTS, and ensuring modern, mobile-ready, data-driven enhancements.
  • Oversee OCI Migration - Direct the transition of Oracle-based systems to vendor-hosted and OCI environments, ensuring operational readiness, continuity, and alignment with statewide technology standards.
  • Manage GIS Services - Supervise DEQ's GIS team and collaborate with OTS GIS specialists to deliver high-quality spatial analysis supporting permitting, land management, and environmental oversight.
  • Automate Business Workflows - Identify manual processes across DEQ and lead the implementation of digital tools that streamline operations, reduce administrative burden, and improve data accuracy.
  • Drive Interagency Modernization - Coordinate with C&E, DOTD, LED, and OTS to unify permitting processes, enhance transparency, and support statewide modernization initiatives.
