Job title: Chief Investment Officer

Company: Magnolia Operating, LLC (d/b/a Magnolia Bakery) (New York, New York)

Duties: Design and execute proprietary investment and scaling frameworks for consumer brands; deploy institutional capital across multi-vertical brand platforms; establish repeatable commercialization models for food, lifestyle, and experiential brands; and influence best practices in consumer-focused private-equity capital deployment. Develop and implement differentiated capital deployment structures tailored to consumer-brand incubation and scaling. Introduce integrated brand commercialization strategies that bridge food, retail, lifestyle, and experiential verticals. Oversee high-visibility transactions and catalyze job creation, domestic economic expansion, and global brand development through disciplined investment execution. Plan and execute the Company's multi-year, multi-faceted strategic business plan. Serve as the architect of Magnolia's evolution into a broader consumer investment platform; identify scalable adjacencies across food, lifestyle, hospitality, retail, and sports/entertainment; and design long-term platform architecture capable of supporting multi-brand acquisition and incubation. Construct and oversee an integrated portfolio strategy across operating entities; perform and supervise detailed financial modeling, valuation analyses, and strategic scenario planning; and lead end-to-end negotiation and execution of investment transactions. Oversee post-investment integration and value-creation execution. Design master franchise and international partnership frameworks and ensure preservation of brand equity and global consistency across markets. 10% international travel required.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field and 7 years of experience in position offered or related. Must have 7 years of experience with: planning and implementing strategic and tactical business decisions, including oversight, creation, and execution of a company's multi-year and multi-faceted business plan; developing revenue-generating strategies for various properties and companies in the sports, entertainment, consumer, technology, and media industries and pursuing international business opportunities from an investment and business development perspective; performing financial and strategic evaluations for potential investments, negotiating and managing contract processes, and conducting deal analyses; consulting and coordinating with various departments to develop annual budgets, including personnel needs and internal growth projections, and developing integrated financial investment strategies and portfolios for building and maintaining properties' market positions in respective industries; preserving the market position and branding of operating companies within corporate portfolio to ensure investment productivity and efficiency; and developing and implementing investment strategies and executing on such strategies by conducting market research, prospecting, and negotiating transactions end-to-end. Salary: $500,000 - $800,000/year.
