What will you be doing?

WWT is seeking a Chief Healthcare Advisor to join its Healthcare & Life Sciences practice. This role combines the industry depth of a clinician healthcare advisor with the technical authority of a chief information advisor. It is designed for a former health system CIO or CTO who owned enterprise architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, AI and clinical systems for a provider organization, and who can now sit across the table from peers holding those same jobs.

The Chief Healthcare Advisor's primary customers are the technology executives who control healthcare's largest investment decisions: Chief Information Officers, Chief Technology Officers, Chief Digital Officers, Chief Data Officers and Chief Information Security Officers. Conversations extend to the full C-suite, but they are grounded in architecture, data, and technology. Credibility in this role comes from having done the job, not from having studied it.

Healthcare is now the single largest vertical for AI investment, and health systems are moving decisively from isolated pilots to scaled, governed, enterprise AI. The Chief Healthcare Advisor helps identify and drive sales opportunities with our provider, payer, and life science organizations.

Responsibilities:

Technology and AI strategy
  • Serve as a consultative advisor to IT, clinical, and line of business leaders to drive WWT sales of enterprise technology and services - including AI and data platforms, cloud, network and infrastructure modernization, cybersecurity and clinical systems architecture
  • Support the presale client journey of AI adoption at enterprise scale: clinical, operational and administrative use cases, agentic and generative AI, and the governance frameworks required to deploy them responsibly
  • Translate technology buying decisions into clinical and financial business cases that technology executives can defend to their boards
  • Support pre-sales discussions with industry expertise including data and PHI, EHR, interoperability, value-based care, cybersecurity, and other healthcare-specific industry priorities
  • Partner with our WWT engineers and architects and leverage the Advanced Technology Center and AI Proving Ground to define, prioritize, and develop healthcare-specific labs, proofs of concepts, and demos

Client engagement and practice leadership
  • Serve as one of WWT's senior healthcare technology voices in executive briefings, workshops and strategic planning sessions with clients
  • Lead complex, multi-stakeholder engagements from discovery through solution design and delivery hand-off
  • Shape and expand WWT's healthcare solution portfolio in partnership with practice, engineering and OEM partner teams
  • Build durable, consultative relationships with clients, partners and industry organizations

Business development partnership
  • Partner with WWT sales teams to identify, qualify and shape strategic opportunities across commercial and pub sector healthcare accounts
  • Leverage professional network to open business opportunities for WWT
  • Develop and deliver executive presentations, collateral, and briefings
  • Provide ongoing enablement and industry education to sales and technical teams

Thought leadership
  • Contribute to our healthcare and life sciences brand by authoring blogs and articles
  • Represent WWT as a speaker and panelist at industry events, partner forums, and company-hosted events and webinars
  • Participate in media and PR activities like podcasts and interviews
