Due to the impending retirement of our long-tenured Chief Financial Officer, McClure Company is pleased to welcome qualified applicants to apply for this critical strategic leadership position. As a member of the Executive Team, the CFO will be responsible for overseeing the financial functions of the company and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems to preserve assets and report financial results.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial planning, analysis, and strategy, budgeting, forecasting, company audits, compliance, and stakeholder relationship building. The CFO will also collaborate with the CEO and the Executive Team to make decisions regarding company's financial strategy and operations and will provide leadership to the members of the McClure Finance Department.

Responsibilities

  • Possess executive-level knowledge and understanding of the financial, accounting, and operational functions of the organization, supporting the CEO and Executive Team in achieving McClure's vision, goals, and objectives
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making processes
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
  • Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and make recommendations
  • Prepare detailed financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, including the Board of Directors and private equity owners
  • Oversee working capital management, including A/R, A/P, and inventory
  • Manage cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs and strategic initiatives
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks, including those related to multi-state operations and unionized labor
  • Provide financial modeling and analysis to support M&A activities
  • Act as primary liaison with McClure's majority partner for internal and external financial audit reporting

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree & CPA preferred
  • Minimum 10 years experience of progressive financial leadership experience required
  • Minimum 5 years experience in CFO or Senior Finance role required
  • Experience in the construction industry and/or local market experience with understanding of percentage completion accounting and over/under billing calculations highly desired
  • Strong understanding of unionized labor environment preferred
  • Prior experience with M&A, including due diligence and integration preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance requirements

Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Position is on-site, full-time Monday - Friday.
