The Chief Executive Officer will serve as the principal strategic and operational leader for NPower. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will drive the successful implementation of a proven model and approach, and an evolving footprint in government partnerships, corporate alliances, and emerging tech sectors.
The CEO will be responsible for advancing NPower's mission, stewarding and growing the organization, leading a high-performance team, and shaping the organization's brand and voice in national conversations around inclusive and dynamic workforces.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Execute and evolve the 2030 strategic roadmap, deliberately leveraging technology to evolve the delivery model while maintaining the values and principles that have made the organization successful.
- Identify and cultivate new opportunities in adjacent sectors(e.g.,healthcare IT, data centers, cloud computing).
- Strengthen and scale programming, targeting high-demand skills to meet evolving employer needs while addressing the unique challenges of students from non-traditional backgrounds, necessitating precise assessments, flexible training, and customized support.
Fundraising & External Affairs
- Serve as the organization's lead fundraiser and ambassador to high-net-worth individuals, corporate executives, foundations, and government partners.
- Deepen and diversify revenue sources, expanding beyond current corporate concentration and growing the individual donor base, as well as evaluate potential earned income strategies.
- Assume a visible role as an influential thought leader within the broader workforce advancement and career-connected community.
- Be a vocal champion of NPower-backed research that reinforces the organization's position as an industry innovator.
Organizational Culture & People Leadership
- Foster a culture of empathy, innovation, transparency, and performance.
- Maintain a deeply inclusive approach to leadership, valuing the lived experiences of students, staff, and communities served.
- Attract, retain, and grow senior talent while navigating key transitions.
- Build structures to support staff engagement across a distributed, hybrid workforce.
Program & Operational Oversight
- Ensure high programmatic standards while supporting cost-effective scaling through virtual learning, tech-forward delivery models, and continued development of internal systems.
- Build on NPower's reputation for agility and student-centeredness.
- Oversee compliance with government grants and federal funding regulations, maintaining strong legal and reporting infrastructure.
- Lead expansion of NPower's Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship program.
Board Engagement
- Partner closely with a highly engaged Board of Directors, leveraging their networks, insights, and influence.
- Help shape board framework to identify and recruit new board members and reflect strategic priorities.
- Provide timely, transparent communication on organizational performance, opportunities, and risks.

Education
A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
