Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all engineering and maintenance operations for the hotel
  • Create and manage maintenance team schedules to ensure timely completion of work orders
  • Maintain the hotel's condition through effective preventative maintenance programs
  • Ensure all areas are maintained to brand standards, including guest rooms and public spaces
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and coordinate repairs
  • Manage departmental budgets and expenses while maintaining cost controls
  • Monitor utility usage and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations including life safety requirements
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
  • Coordinate with vendors for specialized repairs and projects
  • Oversee operation and maintenance of HVAC and life safety systems
  • Assist in capital improvement projects to enhance the hotel asset
  • Train and develop engineering team members while promoting a culture of safety
  • Communicate effectively with hotel leadership about ongoing projects and needs
  • Respond to guest concerns professionally to ensure a positive experience

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspections, and preventative maintenance documentation
  • Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and projects
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pool, and life safety systems
  • Assist in planning and executing capital improvement projects to protect and enhance the hotel asset
  • Train, coach, and develop engineering team members while fostering a culture of safety and accountability
  • Communicate effectively with hotel leadership regarding ongoing projects, repairs, and operational needs
  • Respond to guest concerns in a timely and professional manner to ensure an exceptional guest experience
