Chief Engineer serves as the on-site engineering leader with full accountability for the delivery of Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) services, including hard services, critical infrastructure, and advanced liquid cooling systems supporting high-density compute environments. This role provides technical leadership, team management, and operational oversight to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient facility performance.
Key Responsibilities: - Oversee the safety of all operating equipment within the facility
- Develop and train all staff in plant and emergency procedures
- Handle the procurement of all repair parts for routine preventative, and emergency repairs
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors
- Develop a plant wide Preventative maintenance schedule for all building, process equipment, and all plant utilities
- Maintain the departmental budget with focus on parts, supplies and labor management
- Assure compliance with all wastewater and emissions standards
- Oversee outside contractors in the repairs and upkeep of plant equipment
- Available for off-site, plants startups and special projects
Preferred Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in engineering or military experience is preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentations
- Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
- Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment
- Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility and leadership
- Must be capable of reading electrical schematics, mechanical, and plumbing blue prints
- Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Good working knowledge all aspects of plant maintenance to include but not limited to; Electrical, Boilers, Hydraulics, Compressed Air, Mechanical Equipment
