Full Job Description
As a Chief Developer in the Capital Markets IT Delivery Team at National Bank, you'll be a specialist in developing solutions to integrate, curate and publish high quality market data and reference data solutions for our business partners in Capital Markets. With your data analysis and programming skills, your experience in the Capital Markets sector and your knowledge relational databases, you'll have a positive impact on delivering new products to market, on-boarding new clients and fulfilling our regulatory commitments.

Your job:
  • Perform functional analysis activities related to the application within the ecosystem
  • Carry out detailed analysis of business needs, system behaviour and end-to-end processing flows.
  • Develop solutions in the NeoXam DataHub system (Enterprise Data Management platform) to achieve the expected results based on the needs expressed by business partners in Capital Markets, Risk, Operations and Finance.
  • Implement efficient data flows to integrate, transform, and publish market and reference data.
  • Provide effective production support for our partners' activities.
  • Provide support outside of office hours, as part of a rotation

As part of the Capital Markets IT Delivery team, specializing in Data Management, you'll be on a team of 9 of colleagues and you'll report to the Senior Manager, Asset Management. Our team stands out for it's entrepreneurial spirit, learning culture and high level of employee engagement.

Prerequisites:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and ten years of relevant experience or Master's degree in a related field and eight years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of at least one programming language used in data mining: Java, PL/SQL, SQL, Python, SAS, or Matlab
  • At least one year of experience with the NeoXam DataHub platform
  • Knowledge of derivatives and capital markets (preferred)
  • Experience integrating market data feeds from sources such as Bloomberg, Reuters, Markit, etc. (an asset)
  • Experience in an AWS environment (an asset)
