Job Summary

The Chief Community Schools Officer provides executive leadership for GTA's organization-wide Community Schools strategy, planning, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement. The Chief establishes overall direction and accountability across the four Community Schools pillars and works through school leaders, directors, and program leads responsible for developing and implementing strategies within their respective areas.

The Chief ensures Community Schools efforts are coordinated across GTA, aligned with identified student, family, and community needs, and implemented in accordance with approved plans and grant requirements. The position also provides executive oversight of assigned departments and programs, including family and community engagement, community partnerships, student recruitment and engagement, Work-Based and Expanded Learning, Athletics, communications/community outreach, and community resource development.
