Full Job Description
Data Intelligence (DI) is seeking a Chief Architect to serve as the overarching technical design authority for the ASSIST program. In this role, you will own the end-to-end orchestration architecture that connects multiple services, models, and simulations into decision-support products for the Maritime Operations Center (MOC) or equivalent command center. This is an onsite position located in San Diego, CA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide the overarching technical design authority for ASSIST, owning the end-to-end orchestration architecture connecting services, models, and simulations into decision-support products.
  • Design service interfaces and data-flow patterns, and define standards for invoking models and simulations as services, ensuring outputs are combined into integrated decision-support tools and displays
  • Guide development and prototyping of tactical decision applications, including integration with the MTC2 and GCCS APIs for cross-echelon planning
  • Establish the architecture for scalable, distributed processing that sustains performance across hundreds of units
  • Set the technical roadmap for deployment to classified networks under the Risk Management Framework (RMF), prioritizing orchestration requirements with the development team.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software/Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience: 10+ years of software/systems engineering, with 5+ recent years (since 2021) in software or systems architecture on command-and-control or decision-support systems; demonstrated design of service-oriented/microservices architectures integrating multiple services and simulations.
  • Certifications: DoD 8570/8140 IAT/IASAE Level II or III (e.g., Security+ CE or CASP+) as required for privileged access.
  • Clearance: Active DoD Secret with SIPRNET access.

Preferred / Differentiating Qualifications

  • Direct experience architecting or integrating the MTC2 platform/API and/or GCCS-J/GCCS-M at a MOC or equivalent command center.
  • Demonstrated design of orchestration software that invokes models/simulations as services and combines outputs into COA-comparison and decision-support products.
  • DevSecOps/cATO architecture and container-based deployment (Docker/Kubernetes) to NIPR/SIPR/JWICS via platforms such as Game Warden or Kessel Run.
  • Master's degree; TOGAF, AWS/Azure architect, or SOA architect certification.
  • Active Top Secret clearance
  • Prior NIWC or Navy C2 program experience.

We offer medical, dental and vision insurance, 401k, PTO and 11 paid holidays.
