Data Intelligence (DI) is seeking a Chief Architect to serve as the overarching technical design authority for the ASSIST program. In this role, you will own the end-to-end orchestration architecture that connects multiple services, models, and simulations into decision-support products for the Maritime Operations Center (MOC) or equivalent command center. This is an onsite position located in San Diego, CA.
Key Responsibilities- Provide the overarching technical design authority for ASSIST, owning the end-to-end orchestration architecture connecting services, models, and simulations into decision-support products.
- Design service interfaces and data-flow patterns, and define standards for invoking models and simulations as services, ensuring outputs are combined into integrated decision-support tools and displays
- Guide development and prototyping of tactical decision applications, including integration with the MTC2 and GCCS APIs for cross-echelon planning
- Establish the architecture for scalable, distributed processing that sustains performance across hundreds of units
- Set the technical roadmap for deployment to classified networks under the Risk Management Framework (RMF), prioritizing orchestration requirements with the development team.
Minimum Qualifications- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software/Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 10+ years of software/systems engineering, with 5+ recent years (since 2021) in software or systems architecture on command-and-control or decision-support systems; demonstrated design of service-oriented/microservices architectures integrating multiple services and simulations.
- Certifications: DoD 8570/8140 IAT/IASAE Level II or III (e.g., Security+ CE or CASP+) as required for privileged access.
- Clearance: Active DoD Secret with SIPRNET access.
Preferred / Differentiating Qualifications- Direct experience architecting or integrating the MTC2 platform/API and/or GCCS-J/GCCS-M at a MOC or equivalent command center.
- Demonstrated design of orchestration software that invokes models/simulations as services and combines outputs into COA-comparison and decision-support products.
- DevSecOps/cATO architecture and container-based deployment (Docker/Kubernetes) to NIPR/SIPR/JWICS via platforms such as Game Warden or Kessel Run.
- Master's degree; TOGAF, AWS/Azure architect, or SOA architect certification.
- Active Top Secret clearance
- Prior NIWC or Navy C2 program experience.
