Full Job Description
The Real Estate Quality & Performance Group is a newly established unit of National Bank's Commercial & Private Banking 1859 Real Estate Team. A career as a Chief Advisor, Quality Control & Training means providing strategic leadership and guidance to the sales team, ensuring that underwriting processes, legal documentation and tools are fully aligned with risk policies while optimizing efficiency and maintaining high standards of quality.

You will report to the Associate Vice-President Real Estate Financing and work along the Real Estate Specialized team with over 250 members across Canada. This position offers a hybrid work mode; you organize your weeks between the office, home and meetings with the various teams.

This position could be based in Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal or Quebec City.

Your Job:
• Clearly identify issues, including those related to KPIs (deposit, ESG, synergies, etc.), recommend and elaborate templates and standardization as appropriate in daily real estate operations to enhance the quality and effectiveness of the Sales team.
• Assist as a senior leader within the Quality & Performance team, offering guidance and coaching to junior team members.
• In collaboration with the Senior Advisor, provide leadership in designing and implementing training plans for the Account Managers and Portfolio Managers within your region. Organize training sessions focused on corporate changes and recommend targeted programs to address identified quality issues.
• Act as a mentor and demonstrate subject matter expertise by delivering constructive feedback on Client Account Strategies and credit submissions post-adjudication to ensure accuracy and compliance with Bank standards.
• May be asked to provide guidance and expertise to the sales force in modeling ultra complex or non-standard financing and support the RVPs in executing their action plans to improve operational quality.

Prerequisites:
• Bachelor's degree with 7 years' experience in related field
• Solid experience in commercial underwriting and real estate financing
• Coaching experience is a strong asset
• Mobilizing leadership and the ability to support multidisciplinary teams
• Strategic mindset and rigourous risk analysis
• Excellent critical thinking with a focus on recommending appropriate solutions
• Great time and priority management with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Demonstrate creativity and innovation in a constant transforming environment
• Ability to work in collaboration with various internal partners
• Excellent communication and influencing skills
