What You'll DoAs a Transmission Technician, you will diagnose, repair, and service vehicle transmission systems while ensuring repairs are completed accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair automatic and manual transmission systems.
- Perform transmission inspections, repairs, rebuilds, and replacements.
- Diagnose drivability and transmission-related concerns.
- Use diagnostic equipment and technical resources to accurately identify issues.
- Complete repairs according to GM specifications and manufacturer guidelines.
- Perform quality-control inspections to ensure repairs are completed properly.
- Maintain accurate repair orders and communicate findings with Service Advisors.
- Work efficiently while maintaining high standards for safety and workmanship.
- Stay current on GM technical information, procedures, and repair standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
What We're Looking ForWe are looking for a highly skilled technician with demonstrated experience working on automotive transmissions and drivetrain systems.
Required Qualifications- Verified professional experience as an automotive technician, with demonstrated transmission repair experience.
- GM Qualified Technician.
- ASE Certified.
- Strong knowledge of automotive transmission and drivetrain systems.
- Ability to accurately diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical concerns.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
