Chevrolet Assistant Manager Retail Insights

This role is categorized as HYBRID. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to GM Warren - Cadillac Tower three times per week, at minimum.

The Role:

In this role, you will support Chevrolet Sales Operations by conducting detailed analyses of retail incentive programs, providing routine reporting, managing multiple large data sources, providing timely updates to the Chevy field team, making retail strategy recommendations to Chevy leadership, and forecasting Chevy vehicle sales.

As the Chevy Retail Insights Assistant Manager, you will work closely with Chevy leadership and the Chevy field team. You will also work cross-functionally with Chevy Marketing Teams, North American Market Analysis (NAMA), Finance, Retail Sales and Marketing Support (RSMS), Enterprise Data and Analytics (EDAI), Performance Driven Marketing (PDM), and multiple third-party data providers, including J.D. Power, S&P Global, and Channel Vantage.

You are expected to become a subject matter expert on the various analytical tools, data sources, and automotive industry trends to help Chevy make strategic business decisions. You will be challenged to provide unbiased consumer and market insights by aggregating and consolidating multiple data sources to tell a story. The ability to define the problem, determine appropriate tools and data, synthesize findings, and develop insights and recommendations is required.

This role is expected to operate as a fully qualified, experienced professional who applies independent judgment to significant matters and exercises broad knowledge of Chevrolet retail operations, incentive strategy, automotive forecasting, market analysis, and related business functions.

What You9ll Do (Responsibilities):

  • Conduct routine sales reporting on daily, weekly, and monthly cadence
  • Serve as point of contact for field team data requests and questions
  • Conduct detailed analyses of incentive programs
  • Track monthly sales performance of Chevrolet vehicles
  • Conduct competitive analysis and understand implications for Chevy
  • Present recommendations to Chevy leadership
  • Become subject matter expert on multiple large data sources including NAEZQ, JD Power PIN, Channel Vantage, and Polk
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting, data quality, analytical processes, and tools.
  • Develop and implement analytical solutions that support functional strategies and improve business decision-making
  • Mentor less-experienced team members and serve as a resource on analytical methods, data sources, and automotive market insights

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • 5+ years of automotive forecasting and/or automotive market analysis
  • Bachelor9s Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or Statistics
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel
  • Competence in Power BI and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently with limited guidance and exercise sound judgment on significant matters
  • Ability to work collaboratively and influence across functions without direct authority
  • Ability to synthesize complex analyses into concise summaries and actionable recommendations for leadership
  • Thorough understanding of major automotive data sources, including PIN, Polk, CVI, and related sources
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, work through ambiguity, and deliver high-quality results on time

What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Master9s Degree
  • Automotive sales field experience
  • Experience evaluating retail incentives, pricing, sales performance, competitive activity, or dealer behavior.
  • Experience integrating and reconciling multiple large data sources and third-party automotive data providers.
  • Experience developing executive-level presentations, dashboards, forecasts, or decision-support tools.
  • Experience leading cross-functional analytical initiatives from problem definition through implementation and measurement.
