  • Foster communication within the team to address issues effectively.

Job Title: Chemical Technician

Job Description

Operate equipment and wells by applying operating and safety procedures and guidelines to meet the daily operational plan, reduce equipment failure, and ensure efficient resource administration.

Responsibilities

  • Implement daily work objectives, housekeeping, safety, health, environmental, and security practices.
  • Actively participate in daily toolbox meetings and regular, reported safety meetings.
  • Identify and implement corrective and optimization actions through continuous surveillance of wells and equipment to ensure reliable, efficient, and safe operating conditions.
  • Function as an Equipment Care Technician and routinely use maintenance skills to perform simple maintenance activities.
  • Report when the alarm, emergency, or emergency shutdown system is out of service.
  • Provide detailed, clear, and accurate information during shift change to ensure unit conditions are updated and operations continuity is maintained.
  • Coordinate, control, and monitor maintenance jobs in accordance with corrective, predictive, and preventive planning.
  • Continuously record in the logbook all relevant operational events, abnormal situations, and deviations involving the work area, equipment, or personnel.
  • Take product samples for laboratory analysis and execute field laboratory tests.
  • Actively participate in emergency response activities.
  • Report incidents internally and escalate awareness as per the Incident Reporting Guidelines.
  • Ensure the Operations Shift Supervisor is informed and consulted about operations activities.
  • Ensure good communication across the work team so issues and actions can be adequately addressed.
  • Provide basic facts on well producing problems, current production rates, and the current condition of the well.
  • Ensure well problem diagnostics are thorough and complete before requesting Well Work intervention operations.
  • Ensure the wellhead and well surface equipment are maintained and in good working order prior to Wellwork operations taking over responsibility for intervention operations.
  • Provide assistance and support to ongoing Wellwork operations as needed.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Completed secondary education and prior experience as a Field Technician.
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written).
  • High standard of Safety, Health, and Environment aptitude and ability to cultivate the same in others.
  • Extensive knowledge and/or experience in pipeline operations.
  • Extensive knowledge of safety and operations management tools and processes.
  • Strong knowledge of Emergency Preparedness Procedures.
  • Extensive knowledge of Project Philosophy and Design Specifications.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations.
  • Knowledge of relevant commercial agreements.

Pay: $40-45/hr (W2)
