Overview

Our team is hiring an IT Strategy Lead to join our growing team and leading one of the most important Canadian rail projects. This role aligns with AtkinsRéalis' mission to transform, embrace digital technologies, and ensure the continued growth of its technology capabilities. The successful candidate will lead technology management for a key project and project organization. Our team will oversee the technology program to define resilient solutions, processes, and systems to enable project stakeholders and critical infrastructure.

Your role

The IT Strategy Lead oversees the organization's technology ecosystem with a focus on managing business software, licensing compliance, system reliability, cloud environments, and network infrastructure.They lead IT staff, coordinate IT operations, and ensure secure, efficient delivery of all technology services. Responsibilities include maintaining software inventories, optimizing licensing costs, administering servers, cloud platforms, and end user devices, monitoring network performance, and enforcing technology standards.The IT Strategy Lead also guides technical projects, manages vendors, and aligns technology capabilities with business and project needs.
  • Lead and manage the IT team responsible for end-user support, technical troubleshooting, and service delivery.
  • Develop and Implement the IT strategy. This role is responsible for identifying and implementing the technology environment required to meet organizational needs, operations and facilitating collaboration across technology stakeholders and environments (on prem and cloud).
  • Define technology requirements to the suppliers and engage in the procurement activities.
  • Direct IT operations to maintain system availability, performance, and operational continuity.
  • Assist in incident response and recovery activities within technology (IT/OT) environments.
  • Lead and mentor junior staff on projects and team.


About you

  • Minimum 8-10 years of progressive IT infrastructure, systems administration, and support experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Proven experience leading IT operations in a complex corporate environment with responsibility for end-user support, networks, servers, cloud services, and business applications.
  • Experience overseeing network infrastructure, system maintenance, performance monitoring, and operational reliability.
  • Proven ability to manage IT projects, technology upgrades, procurements, and system implementations from planning through execution.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical staff, business leaders, vendors, and end users.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, cloud platforms, enterprise systems, and hybrid IT environments.
  • Relevant professional certifications such as ITIL, Microsoft, Azure, CCNA, PMP, CISSP, or equivalent are considered assets.
  • Bilingual French/English.*
  • Strategic mindset and ability to implement a technology program (governance, operations, compliance).
  • Ability to bridge IT and OT systems and stakeholders.
  • Critical thinking and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Le ou la Responsable de la stratégie TI supervise l'écosystème technologique de l'organisation, avec un accent sur la gestion des logiciels d'affaires, la conformité des licences, la fiabilité des systèmes, les environnements infonuagiques et l'infrastructure réseau.

Cette personne dirige les équipes TI, coordonne les opérations informatiques et veille à la prestation sécuritaire et efficace de tous les services technologiques. Ses responsabilités comprennent la gestion des inventaires logiciels, l'optimisation des coûts de licences, l'administration des serveurs, des plateformes infonuagiques et des postes de travail, la surveillance des performances du réseau ainsi que l'application des normes technologiques.

  • Diriger et gérer l'équipe TI responsable du soutien aux utilisateurs, du dépannage technique et de la prestation des services.

Le titulaire du poste est responsable d'identifier et de déployer l'environnement technologique requis pour répondre aux besoins organisationnels et opérationnels, tout en favorisant la collaboration entre les différentes parties prenantes et environnements technologiques (sur site et infonuagiques).
  • Définir les exigences technologiques auprès des fournisseurs et participer aux activités d'approvisionnement.
