Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the rollout of health and safety strategies to support organizational goals.
  • Promote a culture of prevention among managers, employees, and contractors through targeted communications and training.
  • Coordinate prevention programs and activities including risk management and emergency measures, working with firefighters and first responders.
  • Ensure compliance with safety programs, emergency plans, and legal, regulatory, corporate, and ISO 45001 requirements.
  • Advise management, manage departmental resources and budget, and represent the plant to external stakeholders when necessary.

Chez Alcoa, vous avez l'occasion de façonner un milieu de travail plus sécuritaire en exerçant un leadership concret auprès des équipes, des gestionnaires et des partenaires de l'usine. À titre de Chef(fe) de section Santé-sécurité, vous contribuerez à faire évoluer la culture de prévention, à soutenir l'exécution des priorités santé-sécurité et à encadrer une équipe engagée dans la protection des personnes et des installations.

À propos du rôle

Relevant du directeur Santé-Sécurité-Environnement, vous gérerez et développerez les activités liées à la prévention en santé-sécurité, aux mesures d'urgence et à la protection des installations pour l'ensemble de l'usine. Vous superviserez l'équipe de conseillers Santé-sécurité-environnement ainsi que les pompiers usine, tout en collaborant étroitement avec le responsable de la sûreté industrielle, les chefs de section et la direction SSE.

Responsabilités clés
  • Mobiliser, soutenir et développer les membres de votre équipe en favorisant la collaboration, la reconnaissance et l'alignement sur les priorités santé-sécurité.
  • Contribuer au déploiement de la stratégie santé-sécurité afin d'appuyer l'atteinte des objectifs de l'Aluminerie Baie-Comeau et d'Alcoa.
  • Promouvoir une culture de prévention auprès des gestionnaires, des employés et des entrepreneurs, notamment par des communications, des formations et des actions ciblées.
  • Coordonner les programmes et activités liés à la prévention, à la gestion des risques, à la protection des installations et aux mesures d'urgence, incluant les pompiers usine et les secouristes.
  • Veiller à l'application uniforme des programmes SST, du plan de mesures d'urgence et des exigences légales, réglementaires, corporatives et ISO 45001.
  • Conseiller la direction, gérer les ressources et le budget du département, participer aux comités SST et représenter l'usine auprès des intervenants externes lorsque requis.


Ce que vous apportez au rôle
  • Une formation ou une expérience pertinente en santé-sécurité, ou toute combinaison équivalente, afin de soutenir les priorités de prévention et de conformité de l'usine.
  • De 7 à 10 ans d'expérience pertinente, vous permettant d'intervenir avec jugement dans un environnement industriel complexe.
  • Une expérience reconnue en gestion d'équipe, avec la capacité de mobiliser, développer et accompagner les employés dans l'atteinte des objectifs.
  • Une expérience ou une bonne compréhension des mesures d'urgence, de la gestion des risques et de la protection des installations; une expérience directe en mesures d'urgence constitue un atout.
  • Une bonne maîtrise du français et de l'anglais, essentielle pour communiquer clairement avec les équipes, les partenaires internes et les intervenants externes.
  • Un leadership axé sur la santé-sécurité, la rigueur, l'analyse, la collaboration et la capacité de prendre des décisions dans des situations complexes ou sous pression.
