Salary:

The salary for this position traditionally starts at $94,718.00 but may be commensurate with education and work experience. Use our Compensation Calculator to view the total compensation package.

A Day in the Life:

Program Administration Support
  • Provide administrative and clinical leadership for nursing personnel to ensure consistent and effective care delivery.
  • Collaborate with leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of program goals and objectives to support facility-wide initiatives.
  • Assist in overseeing the development and implementation of program-specific needs and therapeutic outcomes to meet individual care plans.
  • Serve on facility committees and make recommendations regarding nursing matters to support organizational goals.
  • Act as a liaison with other disciplines to communicate and problem-solve individual needs to ensure coordinated care.

Program Management Support
  • Assist in responding and offering leadership during emergency situations involving individuals and/or staff within the state-operated health care facility to maintain safety and order.
  • Provide education and training on facility and nursing policies and procedures while monitoring compliance to ensure regulatory standards are met.
  • Identify problems and implement corrective actions to address individual care and staff issues to improve outcomes.
  • Ensure routine rounds are conducted for the safety and security of individuals and staff to maintain a therapeutic environment.
  • Evaluate and monitor individual care and assist in creating treatment plans in collaboration with other clinical staff to support recovery and wellness.

Talent Development & Performance Management
  • Recruit, select, onboard, and train employees to ensure role responsibilities and expectations are clearly understood while providing opportunities for professional development.
  • Set expectations, measure progress, provide ongoing feedback, and evaluate employee performance to ensure work adheres to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures.

What You'll Need for Success:

  • Ability to serve as a patient advocate.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and ability to learn programs used in maintaining electronic medical records.
  • Additional knowledge and/or ability may be required based on the population the facility serves (e.g., children, adolescents, geriatrics).
  • Ability to respond to emergency situations and lead staff with professionalism and composure.
  • Must possess an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college.
  • Must posses an active license to practice nursing in the State of Indiana as a Registered Nurse.
  • Must hold and maintain CPR certification.
  • Must stay current with behavioral intervention training.
  • One (1) year of previous supervisory experience.

This role may provide direct supervision for one or more staff members.
