Schedule: 40 hrs/wk; Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm with rotating weekends
Shift Differentials:- 2nd shift: +$2.00/hr.
- 3rd shift: +$4.00/hr.
- Weekends: +$2.00/hr
Responsibilities:- Meet the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident.
- Adhere to current resident care plans on all residents under his/her care.
- Assess each resident daily to evaluate resident needs. Abide by resident rights.
- Follow physician' orders.
- Assume primary responsibility for complete nursing care, treatments, dressings and other physician orders.
- Transcribe physician's orders promptly and accurately.
- Review patient records daily to assure accuracy and completeness.
- Document comprehensive and complete nursing notes.
- Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
- Must be willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing nursing practices.
- Must be able to communicate effectively to appropriate personnel regarding emergency situations.
- Maintain a liaison with the residents, their families, support departments, etc. to adequately plan for the residents' needs.
- Must be familiar with drug actions and interactions.
- Attend and participates in continuing educational programs.
