Position Overview

As a Project Manager within Market Operations, you will lead critical transformational initiatives that re-engineer our operational footprint. Operating in a "Change the Bank" capacity, you will partner with cross-functional leaders to execute strategic projects, manage business-critical transition processes, and implement innovative solutions. Key Responsibilities

Project Execution ("Change the Bank" Initiatives)

  • Lead, direct, and manage complex projects aligned with the organization's strategic objectives, encompassing business development, organizational transformation, and process optimization.
  • Drive ad hoc advisory initiatives and strategic requests to meet evolving business and operational needs.
  • Oversee the complete project lifecycle, from scoping and implementation to monitoring, reporting, change management, closure, and seamless handover to Business-As-Usual (BAU) operations.
  • Employ industry-leading project management methodologies, robust change management practices, and process-optimization techniques to ensure project success.


Business Management

  • New Product & New Activity / NST Due Diligence: Coordinate and manage the collection, review, and documentation of New Product and New Activity (NPNA) and Non-Standard Transactions (NST) opinions, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders (Front Office, IT, and Head Office) to facilitate smooth business approvals.
  • Financial Oversight & Budgeting: Support the financial management of GMO business operations, including assisting with annual budgeting processes, monitoring permanent and temporary headcount, tracking monthly actual spend and accruals, and preparing accurate monthly financial forecasting.
  • Access and Vendor Management: Oversee the monitoring of all access management rights, vendor/SLA contracting, and operational due diligence.


Team Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with team members to foster a culture of open communication, mutual support, and high performance.
  • Actively contribute to team meetings and share innovative ideas to enhance project processes and methodologies.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work with a high degree of autonomy while remaining a proactive, supportive, and engaged team player.
  • Manage multiple high-priority projects concurrently, ensuring successful, on-time outcomes across all initiatives.


Stakeholder Communication

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all organizational levels, facilitating seamless collaboration and information sharing.
  • Maintain regular, transparent communication with internal stakeholders both locally and at the Head Office, providing proactive updates on project status, risks, and issues.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling project presentations to project sponsors, directors, and team members to ensure strategic alignment.


Risk Management

  • Identify, assess, and prioritize potential project risks, developing highly effective mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure strict compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal best practices in project management to minimize institutional risk.


Documentation and Reporting

  • Organize, facilitate, and lead workshops, project meetings, and steering committees to drive project execution.
  • Create comprehensive, high-quality documentation to capture and memorialize key discussions, decisions, and action items.
  • Monitor project progress closely, preparing detailed, executive-ready reports encompassing KPIs, milestone status, risks, issues, and other pertinent project information.
  • Contribute to the management of the Americas project portfolio process, including maintaining the firm's project inventory, preparing portfolio reporting, and facilitating committee meetings.


Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree is highly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager, with a proven track record of leading and managing complex, cross-functional projects within a "Change the Bank" or transformational framework.
  • Industry Knowledge: Previous experience within the financial services industry is required, with a strong preference for candidates with backgrounds in Investment Banking, Brokerage, or Global Market Operations Support.
  • Language Skills: Exceptional proficiency in written and verbal English; proficiency in French is considered a highly desirable asset.
  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Communication: Outstanding organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and manage changing priorities effectively.
  • Execution: Excellent time-management skills with a rigorous commitment to timely follow-through and delivery.
  • Methodology: Comprehensive understanding of program, portfolio, and project management techniques, processes, and methodologies (e.g., PMP, Agile, Lean).
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is required.

The salary range for the VP level position will be between $125,000 - $165,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance

The salary range for the Director level position will be between $165,000 - $200,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package.
