The Finance Innovation & Transformation (FIT) team at eBay is eBay Finance's newest organization, developed to serve the CFO's strategic priorities of improving Finance efficiency, scalability, control, and decision quality through process modernization, automation, and AI. We identify high-impact opportunities, craft scalable solutions, and embed them into day-to-day workflows across teams globally. We have a robust roadmap of in-flight projects to reduce manual work, standardize recurring processes, and enable more real-time, data-driven insights.
Reporting to the Strategy & Ops Senior Manager, this Change Management Lead position serves as the primary coordinator for change management within FIT's portfolio of AI, automation, and process transformation efforts. Engaging with Accounting, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, Internal Audit, Risk, and other Finance functions, you will assist in ensuring new capabilities are embraced and produce tangible business benefits. You'll collaborate closely with business experts, technical teams, PMO, and leadership to plan and implement communications, training, collaborator involvement, rollout, adoption monitoring, and continuous refinement across multiple simultaneous initiatives.
This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role for someone who enjoys proactively managing diverse collaborators, navigating ambiguity, and helping people embrace new ways of working.
What you will accomplish- Direct change management strategy and implementation across AI, automation, and Finance transformation initiatives from planning through sustained adoption.
- Develop and deliver collaborator engagement, communications, training, readiness, and rollout plans tailored to different Finance audiences.
- Work closely with PMO, business, development, and other teams throughout the solution lifecycle to proactively identify risks, dependencies, and adoption barriers, including timing of Finance cycles and Infosec requirements.
- Partner with Finance SMEs to translate technical solutions into practical, user-friendly learning experiences and enablement materials, including reference guides and demos.
- Track adoption, business outcomes, and value realization, using feedback and data to continuously improve solutions and change strategies.
- Support ongoing improvements to enterprise platforms such as SAP, Anaplan, and other Finance systems by planning and completing change activities.
- Flex to facilitate other project activities such as user acceptance testing, deployment, hypercare, and cross-functional coordination.
- Contribute across the broader FIT organization on communications, enablement, AI adoption, and other strategic and operational initiatives as business needs evolve.
What you bringRequirements:
- 3+ years of experience leading organizational change, user adoption, training, or transformation initiatives in a complex, matrixed environment with global teams.
- Strong collaborator management skills with the ability to influence and build trust across business, technical, and leadership audiences.
- Experience developing communications, training, and adoption strategies that drive measurable behavior change, not just awareness.
- Comfort managing multiple initiatives with a bias toward action, quickly learning new domains and responding to shifting priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with everyone from first-time users to senior executives as an empathetic, approachable, and adaptable team member.
- Familiarity with AI tools and change management related to AI adoption.
- Experience using PMO and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Airtable, Google Suite, Tableau) to coordinate work, track adoption, and report progress.
Preferences:
- Highly preferred: Working knowledge of Finance processes and enterprise business systems.
- Bonus: Demonstrated ability to thoughtfully employ LLM tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) to make day-to-day work easier, hasten delivery, and build repeatable workflows and guidelines that promote consistent team adoption and boost efficiency, while preserving critical thinking and judgment.
Additional DetailsThe base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
125,000-140,000
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
