Overview

Are you passionate about transforming veteran healthcare? CVP is seeking a Change Management/Strategic Communications Lead to provide comprehensive change management support on a critical VA transformation initiative. This role combines change management expertise with strategic communications to drive stakeholder engagement, organizational readiness, and sustained adoption across VA.

 

The ideal candidate applies a multidisciplinary approach to managing change and transition within VA healthcare programs, developing and executing strategies that enable measurable outcomes while supporting senior leaders, defining roles and responsibilities, and integrating change management activities into project plans.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute change management plans, transition management plans, and strategies aligned with transformation priorities
  • Complete change management assessments and strategies that identify and manage anticipated resistance
  • Manage stakeholder communications, ensuring timely, accurate, and consistent messaging
  • Facilitate bi-weekly Change Agent Network sessions, including logistics, engagement, and content delivery
  • Create actionable deliverables including communication plans, roadmaps, coaching plans, training plans, and resistance management strategies
  • Collect and analyze stakeholder feedback to inform strategy adjustments and track change progress
  • Coordinate road show activities, managing logistics and targeted stakeholder outreach
  • Support senior leader engagement and organizational design activities
  • Define, measure, and report on success metrics and change progress to leadership
  • Conduct risk assessments related to organizational transformation and culture change
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • 6+ years of experience in change management, organizational development, or related field
  • Prosci ADKAR certification or equivalent advanced change management certification
  • Experience supporting VA or VHA transformation initiatives
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing change management plans, assessments, and strategies
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders and support organizational change initiatives in a complex environment
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills with proven ability to develop clear, compelling content for diverse audiences
  • Experience facilitating stakeholder engagement sessions, change agent networks, or working groups
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to obtain or maintain a US Public Trust clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing change in a union environment
  • Familiarity with change agent network models and stakeholder engagement frameworks
  • Experience with feedback management and change metrics tracking
  • Experience developing executive-level presentations and strategic communications materials
