Full Job Description
Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the organization's IT Change Management practice, ensuring alignment with ITIL best practices, organizational policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve change management processes, procedures, and standards to support efficient evaluation, approval, implementation, and review of IT changes.
  • Establish and maintain change governance structures, including technical review boards and change advisory boards (CABs), to ensure appropriate risk and impact assessments are conducted.
  • Review, coordinate, and process Requests for Change (RFCs), including preparation and facilitation of discussions for high-risk and high-impact changes.
  • Develop and maintain change models and workflows for standard, normal, and emergency changes.
  • Monitor and report on Change Management performance through key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and trend analysis; provide recommendations for continual service improvement.
  • Deliver training, communication, and awareness initiatives to promote organizational understanding and adherence to change management processes.
  • Provide expert guidance and recommendations to leadership regarding operational, tactical, and strategic decisions related to Change Management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and other IT service management practices to ensure effective coordination of change-related activities.
  • Support process improvement initiatives and special projects as assigned.
  • Participate in after-hours and weekend support activities when required.
Qualifications

Required:

  • 2 years with BS/BA, 0 years with MS/MA, 6 years no degree
  • Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain Interim Secret eligibility.
  • Experience working in a dynamic military environment.
  • Strong understanding of IT Change Management principles and ITIL best practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, end users, and organizational leadership.
  • Ability to explain complex technical processes and procedures in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of an organization.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.

Preferred:

  • Experience developing and managing change governance processes, including Change Advisory Boards (CABs) and technical review boards.
  • Experience creating and analyzing operational metrics, KPIs, and performance reporting.
  • ITIL certification or related IT Service Management credentials.
  • Experience supporting enterprise IT operations in a government or Department of Defense environment.
Target Salary Range$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
