OverviewPosition Summary
The Change Adoption Specialist will be responsible for leading and driving change adoption activities across large-scale, complex IT and strategic initiatives within the PMO organization. This role partners closely with Project Managers, business stakeholders, internal communications, and executive sponsors to ensure successful adoption of new processes, systems, and ways of working.
The Change Adoption Specialist will design and execute structured change management strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and sustained behavioral change across the organization. This role will proactively assess change impacts, identify adoption risks, and implement targeted interventions to ensure business outcomes are realized. The individual will facilitate stakeholder alignment, develop communication and training strategies, and provide ongoing adoption insights to leadership.
This role requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and PMO leadership to embed change adoption practices into project delivery lifecycles, ensuring initiatives are not only delivered—but successfully adopted and sustained.

Responsibilities
- Lead organizational change management activities for cross-functional projects and programs.
- Conduct change impact and stakeholder assessments to identify adoption risks and opportunities.
- Develop and execute change management, communication, and stakeholder engagement plans.
- Partner with project managers, business leaders, and sponsors to drive organizational readiness and adoption.
- Design and coordinate training, enablement, and change champion activities.
- Facilitate workshops, feedback sessions, and resistance management efforts.
- Establish and track adoption, readiness, and change effectiveness metrics.
- Monitor post-implementation adoption and recommend corrective actions to improve outcomes.
- Provide regular updates on change readiness, risks, and adoption progress to project and executive leadership.
- Contribute to PMO change management standards, tools, templates, and best practices.
- Ensure successful adoption and realization of business benefits across the PMO portfolio
- Perform miscellaneous duties, as assigned.

Qualifications
- Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills for developing executive-level communication materials.
- Ability to translate technical or process changes into business-friendly messaging and materials.
- Certification in change management (e.g., Prosci), preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage teams, senior leaders, and executive stakeholders, facilitate decision-making, and communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
- Proven executive presentation skills, with the ability to present confidently to executive teams, lead high-visibility project updates, and communicate recommendations, tradeoffs, and decisions effectively.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives, competing priorities, and shifting business demands.

Education and Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a communications field, preferred. Will consider candidates with a high school diploma and at least 9 years ofwork experience in change management, organizational development, or related fields
- 5+ years of experience in change management, adoption, communications, or organizational transformation roles.
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid project environments.
- Experience working within or alongside a PMO team structure is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience applying structured change management methodologies (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR, Kotter, or equivalent).
- Proven experience supporting digital transformation, product launch, process improvement, or system implementation initiatives.
- Experience working within a PMO structure and partnering with project delivery teams.
- Experience measuring adoption through KPIs, surveys, analytics, and feedback mechanisms.
Physical and Mental Demands
- Ability to travel up to 5% of time, may also include overnight and international travel.
- Work normal business hours and extended hours when necessary.
- Remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting, for prolonged periods.
- Regular use of office equipment such as a computer/laptop and monitor computer screens.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computer components.
