Description

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Lead and direct the company's financial strategy, operations, and activities in accordance with the Board of Directors' directives.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports and forecasts to the management team, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
  • Direct and oversee the preparation of budgets and budget proposals, ensuring accurate reporting and cost control.
  • Review and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and recommending cost-effective solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including Title 16, Minimum Internal Control Standards, and State Gaming Regulations.
  • Oversee month-end closing, including journal entries, account analysis, and finalizing the books.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain internal control policies and procedures for all financial functions.
  • Supervise payroll and accounting functions, ensuring timely and accurate financial data entry and reporting.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions for company-related transactions.
  • Advise management on insurance coverage and risk management strategies.
  • Coordinate audits with internal and external auditors and ensure timely completion of all required audit reports.
  • Resolve discrepancies and investigate unusual transactions and budget variances.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with regulatory agencies, responding to inquiries and fulfilling audit or report requests as needed.
  • Continuously review financial systems, identifying opportunities for automation and improved efficiency.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop staff, fostering a productive, compliant, and efficient working environment.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience in a senior financial role.
  • In-depth knowledge of general accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite or similar financial software.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams).
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information to top management and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Ability to pass an in-depth background check and obtain a State Gambling License and San Jose Policy Key Employee License.

Schedule and Work Location:

This is a full-time and in-office position, Monday to Friday.

Compensation and Benefits:

The pay scale for this position is: $165,000 - $255,000 annually. Compensation is based on experience. Employee benefits are available for all qualifying full-time employees, including paid time off, medical, vision, dental, and life insurance. In addition, employees receive a 20% discount on food, non-alcoholic beverages, and Casino M8trix merchandise.
