POSITION SUMMARY: Demonstrates Goodwill's Core Values through actions and behaviors. Responsible for directing the fiscal functions of Goodwill-West Texas in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and company standards. Maintain and provide financial information to allow for educated economic decisions to be made with regard to daily and strategic organizational goals.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:Accounting Degree required
Minimum 5 years experience required
CPA Preferred
QUALIFICATIONS / SPECIFIC SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE:- Valid Texas Drivers License and good driving record
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:(E) - Essential function of job duties

- Serve as second in command to the President/CEO, providing overall supervision and management responsibilities in the absence of the President/CEO as outlined in the Emergency Succession Plan (E)
- Maintain financial and accounting system controls to ensure timely reports to President and Board of Directors (E)
- Compile actual operational & financial results, to include budgeting, tax & audit activities (E)
- Review and follow document retention guidelines (E)
- Compile and file all tax reports in a timely manner (Sales, Payroll, Unemployment, etc.) (E)
- Maintain government reporting as appropriate (E)
- Compile and analyze surveys and quarterly reports (E)
- Oversee payroll operations (E)
- Communicate with financial institutions & ensure accuracy and timeliness of ACH transactions(E)
- Review and analyze financial data for profit/loss reports (E)
- Reconcile accounts on a monthly basis if applicable(E)
- Manage cash and other funds to ensure financial stability (E)
- Compile data and negotiate for Liability, Auto, Workers Compensation Insurance (E)
- Assist representatives with annual audit (E)
- Oversee billing and work accounts receivable for collection on past due accounts (E)
- Stay up-to-date of legal updates (E)
- Hire, train, evaluate and coach direct reports. (E)
- Communicate appropriately and positively with co-workers and others.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
