UChicago Medicine Medical Group is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join the Anesthesia Care Team at Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey, Illinois. About the Practice

You'll provide anesthesia services across a wide variety of surgical specialties while working within an established Anesthesia Care Team (ACT) model alongside experienced anesthesiologists.

Case mix includes:
  • General Surgery
  • Orthopedics
  • Spine
  • OB/GYN
  • Ophthalmology
  • Urology
  • Limited healthy pediatric cases at the Ambulatory Surgery Center
  • Rare cranial procedures
  • No trauma case

This diverse case mix provides the opportunity to continually build your skills while maintaining an excellent work-life balance.

What You'll Do

As a CRNA, you'll provide high-quality anesthesia care throughout the surgical experience by:
  • Performing comprehensive preoperative patient assessments
  • Developing individualized anesthesia care plans
  • Administering and maintaining anesthesia during procedures
  • Managing patient recovery from anesthesia
  • Providing expert airway management, including:
  • Mask ventilation
  • Laryngeal mask airway placement
  • Endotracheal intubation
  • Collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the perioperative team to ensure exceptional patient outcomes

Qualifications

Required
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Educational Program
  • Master's degree or higher
  • Current, unrestricted RN and/or APRN license
  • National Board Certification as a CRNA
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification
  • Minimum one year of critical care nursing experience (full-time equivalent)
