Duties and Responsibilities - Prepares public notices, such as Notices of Exemption, Notices of Preparation, Notices of Intent to Adopt, Notices of Availability and Notices of Completion
- Prepare meeting materials and provide support at public meetings and hearings
- Coordinate and attend internal meetings and meetings with outside stakeholders
- Review technical studies and environmental documents prepared by outside consultants
- Review local development projects that have potential to impact District schools
- Perform administrative tasks in support of projects, such as issuing work authorizations, reviewing invoices, and tracking budgets/schedules pertaining to CEQA reviews of District projects
- Perform mitigation monitoring at construction sites
RequirementsEducation and Experience- Graduation from a recognized college or university with a Bachelor's degree is desired (a degree in Environmental Planning, Environmental Studies or related field is strongly preferred)
- 5 or more years full time, paid, professional experience in environmental planning; preparation of environmental planning documents and/or the environmental review process is required
- Experience must include basic proficiency in the CEQA process and related Federal, State, and Local environmental policies and regulations
Knowledge and Skills Knowledge of CEQA and related Federal, State and Local environmental regulations required.
License and Certifications A valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record, free from suspensions or restrictions, is required.
Travel RequirementsThis position is site based embedded at the client location in San Diego, CA.
Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a general, climate-controlled office environment.
Physical RequirementsThis role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
