The manager of the Cell Culture Facility (CCF) coordinates delivery of outstanding mammalian cell culture services to laboratories at Fox Chase Cancer Center (FCCC). The manager will perform hands-on cell culture within the CCF workflow and assure CCF staff adheres to rigorous operating procedures to provide the highest quality reagents and technical services. The ideal candidate will have experience initiating and maintaining cultures of human and mouse primary cells in 2D and 3D, immortalizing primary cells, culturing and differentiating iPSCs, using a bioprinter, preparing B cell hybridoma fusions to generate monoclonal antibodies, preparing culture media and additives, and supporting liquid nitrogen banking. The manager will also be responsible for supervising and training CCF staff, interfacing with research investigators and their staff, coordinating purchases and service contracts, maintaining equipment, and organizing monthly staff meetings.
Education
Bachelor's Degree molecular biology, pathology, cell biology or related scientific discipline Required

Experience
3 years experience in management, including oversight of scientific staff Required
