Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:
  • Maintain strict compliance with all applicable FAA regulations, commercial aviation industry safety standards, FBI guidelines and policies, industry standards, manufacturer's instructions, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, specifications, letters, and technical data.
  • Perform all scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, inspection and repair associated with the aircraft, engines, propellers, associated systems, and specialized mission equipment.
  • Perform conditional, annual, phase and special inspections as required.
  • Experience on the following aircraft desired: Beechcraft King Air, Cessna Stationair 206, Cessna Skylane 182, Pilatus PC-12 NGX, (Highly desired).
  • Support the following maintenance requirements: Overhaul and repair, battery maintenance, sheet metal support, welding and fabrication, avionics and Specialized Mission Equipment support, aircraft ground handling and operations support, Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and maintenance support, aircraft servicing support (Refueling, Defueling, Engine Oils, Hydraulic Oil, Aviators Breathing Oxygen, Nitrogen and Other Compressed Gases, Chemical Toilets, Aircraft De-Icing and Cold Weather Operations, Aviation Life Support System, Perform fuel samples after refueling, Other necessary associated tasks as required), preservation/de-preservation, Foreign Object Damage (FOD) Control Support, Aircraft Tool Control Support, Precision Measurement Equipment support, Aircraft Maintenance Testing Support, Aircraft Maintenance Recovery Support, Operational Surge Support, Aircraft Enhancements, Safety, Hazardous Material Control Support, and maintenance reporting as required.


Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required; two-year technical trade school, military experience, or equivalent on-the-job training is required
  • Must hold a valid Airframe & Powerplant certificate issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
  • Must have a minimum of five years of hands-on experience as a Mechanic.
  • Experience shall be in a similar position within the last twelve (12) months.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DOJ Security Clearance is required.


The following are required:
  • Demonstrated experience in the type of maintenance support required for fixed wing aircraft, Cessna 182, 206, 208 experience is required.
  • Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears and sheet metal break
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to retain information and make decisions according to standard policies and procedures
  • Ability to determine work methods to accomplish assignments
  • Excellent knowledge of applicable FAA Federal Aviation Regulations
  • Ability to make proper entries in aircraft logs and records
  • Obtain DOJ Security Clearance as required
  • Have and maintain a valid state driver's license
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Maintain a valid US Passport and the appropriate vaccinations required for international travel.

The employee works in an aircraft hangar the majority of the shift and is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms as well as push and pull items. The employee must able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Normal day to day working conditions are inside an aircraft hangar with good ventilation and air flow. Work may be regularly required in outside weather conditions where employee will be exposed to all types of environmental conditions and extremes such as hot, cold, rain, wind, etc. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and risk of electrical shock. The employee is required to wear personal protective equipment including eye protection, ear protection, hand protection, respirators, masks, aprons, leather safety shoes, steel toe shoes, fall protection harness, and other equipment anytime the potential for hazards exist. The employee is occasionally exposed to high precarious places, confined spaces, toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of radiation; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Salary Pay $44.48 hourly

H&W $10.13 hourly
