Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Depot Manager is responsible for all Depot maintenance functions outlined in the Government contract, providing leadership and direct management of personnel, processes, and operations to ensure the safe and compliant maintenance of assigned aircraft undergoing Depot-level work scope repairs, modifications, and inspections. This role ensures conformance with Navy requirements, engineering REIs, and AS9100/AS9110 quality standards while supporting the Navy's Flight Training Program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Program & Schedule Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with IMP schedules, inductions, and completions
  • Ensure compliance with SLEP schedules, inductions, and completions
  • Ensure compliance with MOD/TD (Technical Directive) incorporations
  • Ensure timely scheduling, induction, and completion of strip and paint operations
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of all applicable CDRLs

Workforce Leadership & Coordination
  • Assign and direct the work of employees to ensure timely completion of all required maintenance
  • Coordinate maintenance-related actions with other affected work centers
  • Instruct employees on proper maintenance methods and procedures as required
  • Assist with training programs for subordinate employees as required
  • Authorize cannibalization actions as required

Quality, Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with required quality control inspections, including DCMA
  • Enforce foreign object damage (FOD), hazardous waste, and tool control programs
  • Assist with safety, security, and preservation of Government- and Company-owned equipment
  • Assist with mishap repairs and reporting as required for the program
  • Comprehend and execute the REI/TEI process in conjunction with the Field Support Team

Documentation & Reporting
  • Ensure satisfactory completion of assigned work and maintenance of required records
  • Maintain appropriate records of all work accomplished
  • Formulate and prepare necessary reports for the Government
  • Track and manage touch labor and material costs; provide reports as required

Additional Responsibilities
  • May be required to perform off-site service at assigned detachments
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of six (6) years of Depot-level Supervisor experience, including responsibility for assigning program workloads and duties across entire shifts
  • Working knowledge of technical directives and the COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series
  • Knowledge of major structural modification and repair procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, drawings, schematics, and other technical data
  • Experience and knowledge of Government Service Contract requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead a large workforce in compliance with established policies, procedures, and operations
  • Extensive working knowledge of Navy aircraft maintenance procedures, including the COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series, gained through management experience
  • In-depth knowledge of the T-45 contract, Company organization, and Company policies and procedures
  • Ability to delegate significant assignments and projects effectively
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely on aircraft maintenance and material support matters, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to read, speak, and write legibly in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; general computer literacy highly desired

Other Requirements
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) CAC (Commons Access Card)
  • Must have a valid state driver's license.
