Cath Lab Supervisor Position Type: Full time Job Summary The Supervisor, Cath Lab is responsible for overseeing the delivery of safe and effective patient care within the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. This role provides leadership, staff supervision, and development, ensuring the implementation of policies, resource allocation, and adherence to quality standards. The Supervisor collaborates with clinical teams to maintain a positive work environment and supports patient care excellence. Essential Functions 3 Assigns and manages patient cases and staff schedules throughout shifts to align staff competencies with patient needs and ensure continuity of care. 3 Provides clinical consultation and support to Cath Lab staff, overseeing clinical quality efforts, including audits of protocols and surgical processes. 3 Collaborates with the Cath Lab Manager/Director to maintain quality care standards as required by departmental protocols and regulatory agencies. 3 Ensures availability and readiness of supplies, equipment, and stock; addresses equipment needs, failures, or inventory issues to minimize disruptions in patient care. 3 Supports the professional development of staff by identifying learning needs, collaborating with the preceptor team and clinical educator, and assisting with orientation and ongoing training. 3 Assists primary physicians in performing procedures, preparing equipment, reviewing patient history, and providing first-assist support during procedures. 3 Ensures complete, accurate, and timely post-procedure data documentation in alignment with Cath Lab and hospital protocols. 3 Performs other duties as assigned. 3 Maintains regular and reliable attendance. 3 Complies with all policies and standards. Leadership Responsibilities 3 Supervision and Staff Management 3 Supervises, trains and oversees departmental staff. 3 Schedules employees to ensure effective use of resources. Consults with Manager or Director on staffing issues. 3 Assists with and contributes to performance evaluations and goal setting. 3 Strategic Planning and Financial Oversight 3 Assists in managing departmental budget ensuring cost-effective operations while maintain high quality service. 3 Monitors expenditures, ensuring cost-effective delivery of services. 3 May contribute to evaluation and implementation of new technologies to enhance operational efficiency. 3 May contribute to development of departmental policies, procedures and protocols. 3 Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance 3 Ensures compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies. 3 May participate in audits, inspections and accreditation processes as applicable. 3 Follows established quality control practices to ensure accuracy, consistency and safety. 3 Collaboration and Communication 3 Works closely with leadership teams to coordinate and improve service delivery. 3 Stays up-to-date with industry advancements, new technologies, and regulatory changes. 3 Staff Responsibilities 3 May work in a staff role, when required. Ensures that duties and responsibilities are fulfilled while meeting all competencies established for that job. Qualifications 3 Associate Degree or higher preferred 3 1-2 years of related experience in the profession required 3 1-2 years of previous leadership experience preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 3 Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. 3 Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and manage cross-functional relationships. 3 Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement. 3 Communicate effectively with leadership, team members, and stakeholders. 3 Ability to work effectively with others, delegate responsibilities, and independently manage tasks while meeting established deadlines. 3 Problem-solving and critical thinking skills. 3 In depth knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory compliance (if applicable). 3 Strong organizational and time management skills. 3 Proficiency with Google and Microsoft platforms, healthcare software systems, and data analysis tools. Licenses and Certifications 3 RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist required or 3 RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required 3 BCLS - Basic Life Support required and 3 ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support obtained by the end of the month, after 90 days of hire or placement required 3 CVN - Cardiac Vascular Nurse preferred
