Job SummaryThe Category Manager Facility and Contract Services Procurement will be a part of the
Indirect Procurement team, reporting to the Senior Director of Procurement and responsible
for development of Category Strategies for Site Services and Contingent Labor categories,
negotiations, management of all global suppliers and contracts, spend analysis,
management of the RFx (RFQ, RFP, RFI) process from start to finish and will ensure optimization
of the Indirect procurement processes to drive success for the Indirect Team and GAF.
The individual will also possess knowledge and understanding of procurement best practices
and their impact on the GAF business. They will have a mature understanding of the industry
and will maintain industry and supplier contacts and relationships, building effective
partnerships that will assist in driving improvements and innovation in GAF.
Essential Duties- Develop category strategy for all high value spend in their respective Indirect Procurement categories.
- Develop Sourcing plans and negotiation strategies aligned with overall Procurement categories.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders (Plant buyers & Procurement operations
team) to drive implementation of plant/facility services and contract labor
procurement strategies - Develop and manage Supplier relationships and Negotiate all Supply Contracts with
Vendors as well as their timely renewals aligned with the overall Procurement
Strategies. - Align performance matrix with suppliers & conduct supplier reviews to measure
Supplier performance against Contractual commitments. - Develop and recommend alternate sourcing options to mitigate supply risks, lower
cost to expand revenue opportunities. - Oversee the bid process for assigned functional areas according to established guidelines.
- Lead all process improvements in the respective Indirect Procurement space.
- Assist in researching materials, goods & services that would improve plant's productivity and / or lower costs.
- Formulate and manage cost savings and innovation proposals both internally and externally.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required- Bachelor's Degree Supply chain, business, science, or engineering or related field Required
- 8+ years of experience in indirect procurement required, with a focus area in Manufacturing services, Facility Services, and/or Contingent Labor category management preferred
- Procurement experience within roofing plant, paving industry, or refinery or manufacturing company is preferred
- A leader in procurement standards and supply chain concepts, practices and procedures
- Advanced negotiation skills and contract negotiation experience
- Strategic mindset with a bias towards execution
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Qualifications Preferred- Skilled at using software tools for daily job execution (Google Suite, Ariba & SAP S4/Hana experience preferred)
- Strong financial management and analysis skills
- Ability to influence and to drive value as a trusted business partner

Base salary and/or rate of pay ranges listed are exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Individual compensation offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant candidate experience and skill, education, and/or qualifications.
Base Salary Range: $120,000-$165,000
