CASUALTY CLAIM MANAGER IMT Insurance is looking to fill the position of Casualty Claim Manager within our Claims department. In this position, you will supervise and provide direction to claim personnel, providing technical guidance in moderately to overly complex claims. A DAY IN THE LIFE - Lead, mentor, and develop a team of casualty claims professionals to achieve performance, quality, and service goals
- Oversee investigation, evaluation, and settlement of casualty claims, including complex and high-exposure losses
- Monitor claim handling for compliance with company standards, legal requirements, and best practices
- Review and approve coverage decisions, reserves, and settlement authority within assigned limits
- Partner with legal counsel on litigated claims strategy and resolution
- Analyze claim trends, identify process improvements, and implement operational efficiencies
- Manage staffing, workload distribution, and performance metrics to ensure optimal team productivity
- Collaborate with underwriting, risk management, and other departments to improve overall loss outcomes
- Provide reporting and insights to senior leadership regarding claim performance and risk exposure
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS - A college degree or equivalent along with 4+ years of casualty experience with 2+ years of claims supervisor experience or related claim knowledge is required
- Ability to read, problem solve and pay close attention to details
- Ability to listen and communicate to the customer, both orally and in writing in a professional manner
- Maintain technical expertise and knowledge of current trends and techniques in the market
- Must maintain valid driver's license due to required fieldwork
- Must develop and maintain strong negotiation skills
- Ability to advise and guide claim personnel in the handling of moderately to overly complex claim settlements
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to evaluate coverage, liability and damages and make independent decisions affecting claim settlements
- Must possess the ability to work well with others

The salary range for this position is $83,000.00 - $145,000.
Starting salary and level of position will depend on level of experience
This position is not eligible for tips or commission but may be eligible for additional bonuses
