OverviewCarrier Sales Supervisor will lead and grow AIT Truckload Solutions Carrier Sales team, by focusing on a specific type of transportation business, while providing exceptional service for our clients that will exceed their expectations. This role will be responsible for maximizing client retention and assist clients in the use of the AIT Truckload Solutions services.Carrier Sales Supervisor will rely on their industry expertise and high energy to motivate, train, and develop the Carrier Sales team. This role will drive to strengthen the existing carrier relationships while strategically adding new ones. Ultimately, you will ensure your team has the necessary people and tools in place to succeed and expand our carrier portfolio to meet our customer's requirements
Responsibilities
- Train and coach Carrier Sales team to ensure company expectations and individual goals are met and manage under performance as necessary
- Conduct weekly 1:1’s in order to effectively coach and motivate the team through their performance KPI’s and metrics, individual goals and career-pathing conversations
- Supervise and develop the Carrier Sales team with varying levels of experience to strategically develop meaningful partnerships with existing and prospective carriers in order to build a dynamic carrier network
- Provide daily coaching and support to the carrier sales team, including working through and resolving escalations
- Strengthen carrier sales team’s knowledge of the market and assist with pricing and rate negotiation training
- Drive and manage an effective carrier pipeline across carrier sales team to strategically expand AIT Truckload Solutions carrier portfolio
- Closely collaborate with Account Management and Customer Sales teams to align with top customers to ensure exceptional service performance; and expand AIT Truckload Solutions dedicated and contract volumes across carrier portfolio
- Lead and empower direct reports to negotiate offers and work closely with AIT Truckload Solutions sales team to provide pricing guidance upon request
- Work closely with our third-party tracking providers to improve carrier compliance and grow ELD network
- Performs other duties as assigned

- The wage range for this position is $80,340.00-$120,520.00 and may vary based on geography as well as relative knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience.
Qualifications
Education• High School equivalent (Required) • Associate's Degree (Preferred) • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
Experience• 0-3 years experience in directly leading or supervising a team (Required) • 3-5 years experience in Carrier Sales within a 3PL or freight brokerage environment (Required)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities• Negotiation Medium• Transportation Management System (TMS) Medium• Microsoft Office Suite Medium
