Care Service Manager

Full Time/Day Shift

Pay Range: $ 83,470 - $ 116,480

Summary:

Under the direction of the Executive Director/ Director of Health Services, the Care Services Manager is responsible for the coordination, supervision, and directing of the work of the Assisted Living staff and ensures the resident needs are met according to Federal and State regulations as well as Company Policy.
Essential Functions:
• Provides quality Customer Service efficiently to residents, families, co-workers and vendors in a manner to ensure satisfaction.
• Follows all safety procedures and assures all staff does as well.
• Supervises all activities of Assisted Living to assure quality care.
• Ensures 24-hour provision of nursing services within Assisted Living.
• Coordinate and perform resident assessment and plan of care evaluations to ensure residents are at the appropriate level of care and services. Consult with DON and/or Director of Health Services for professional assistance.
• Complete rounds as necessary; responds to medical alert calls as required.
• Orients new staff to ensure quality of care for residents; dispenses work assignments and assures completion before end of shift.
• Is responsible for completing performance appraisals timely as well as coaching and counseling of residential care staff.
• Keeps proper resident care documentation and ensures charts are in order; maintains required documentation as per Federal, State and Company Policy.
• Acts as liaison between family, residents, and physicians. Supervises the health care services and programs to residents.
• Coordinates resident admissions and transfers with other departments and/or community agencies.
• Supervises and participates in resident interdisciplinary care plan conferences. Supervises documentation in resident health records and reviews scheduled audits.
• Participates in budget planning and monitoring of fee scheduling and charging for services and cost effective utilization of resources.
• Responsible for orientation and ongoing in-service education, including safety procedure and awareness training of all assisted living nursing staff.
• Promotes stimulation, uplifting and comfortable environments for residents, families and staff.

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

• Current licensure by the California Board of Registered Nursing or Current licensure by the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians; experience in long-term care community health, geriatric and/or rehabilitative nursing desirable; 5 years' experience working in a senior community and have supervisory experience.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Basic mathematical skills required.
• Must be able to understand, follow, support and initiate policies and procedures of the facility. Must be able to recognize emergency situations and respond appropriately; must be able to plan, organize, prioritize and implement work assignments efficiently; must be able to function effectively with no supervision.
