Full Job Description
Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Cardiovascular Technologist I in our Cath Lab.

In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for assisting the physicians in the delivery of safe, age-appropriate patient care during the procedures encompassed in cardiac catheterization. Works collaboratively with the cath lab team to promote wellness and optimize patient outcomes and quality care. Participates in unit/department/institution performance improvement activities that impact patient/family and service outcomes based on professional practice standards. Responds to on-call as needed.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for circulating, monitoring and scrubbing for diagnostic, interventional and structured heart procedures in the cardiac catheterization laboratory.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Ensures daily for quality control of equipment and escalates issues as needed
  • Answers to on-call and responds to emergent, urgent, and/or routine call-ins outside of normal business hours; working with healthcare team to produce optimal results and outcomes
  • Prepares for Cardiac Cath procedure ensures for appropriate paperwork, equipment, supplies, and instruments.
  • Monitors patient and documents pre/intra/post procedure including but not limited to hemodynamics, supplies, meds, defibrillation, administering oxygen, emergency medications during procedure following proper ACLS protocol


Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify, you must have a Technical Diploma/Accredited Cardiovascular and/or Respiratory Care program or Radiologic Technologist Program Graduate and/or from a cardiovascular specialty program. Successful completion of ACLS course for Healthcare providers within (6) six months of employment. Strong communication (both written and oral), detail orientation, customer service, and multitasking skills. Ability to effectively operate Hemodynamic monitoring systems used in a Cardiac Cath Lab in order to acquire appropriate waveform analysis and acquisition. Basic computer skills. Ability to work efficiently and cope with emergency situations..

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree In a related field. Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS). > or = 3 years Experience in didactic cardiac catheterization lab.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $106,000.00 - $115,269.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
