Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Radiology or Respiratory Therapy, or graduation from formal CVT training with RCIS certification, or ARDMS credentials as a Cardiac Sonographer.
  • Ability to complete a benchmark test for CVT II status with recommendation and passing score.
  • Hold current BLS, ACLS certifications within designated timeframes.
  • Strong understanding of hemodynamic monitoring principles and patient parameter interpretation.
  • Experience in cardiac procedures with a minimum of 200 completed in the specified fields.

Responsibilities

  • Perform technical procedures in the Cath Lab including patient setup and assisting the physician.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for all procedures conducted.
  • Monitor critical patient parameters during procedures and make quick decisions as necessary.
  • Provide 24-hour on-call assistance as the first assistant during procedures.
  • Engage in patient preparation and ensure safety protocols are followed.

Description:

Cardiovascular Tech II - Cath Lab

St. Peter's Hospital - Albany NY

What you will do:

  • Performs technical procedures for cardiac Catheterization Lab, including patient preparation, assisting physician, hemodynamic monitoring and first assistant.

  • Accurately completes required documentation for procedures.

  • Work may involve extended periods of time requiring detailed knowledge and attention to critical patient parameters that may require immediate and accurate decision making.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma Required.

  • AAS degree Preferred.

  • Formal CVT Training program graduate preferred.

  • Minimal of 2yr Direct patient care experience

Pay Range: $33.10 - $47.53

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
