Qualifications

  • Registered Technologist for Radiography, Paramedic, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, or Registered Respiratory Therapist required.
  • NC Respiratory Care Practitioner certification required.
  • Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Allied Health, Cardiovascular Sonography, or Paramedic required.
  • Minimum one year of clinical experience in Radiology, Cardiac Sonography, Respiratory Therapy, Emergency Medical Technician, or Cardiovascular preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians in invasive cardiac procedures and electrophysiology.
  • Support vascular procedures as required by the invasive cardiology department.
  • Participate in call back rotations for after-hours cases.
  • Perform tasks assigned by the manager or board coordinator as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and operational protocols during procedures.

Overview

The Cardiovascular Specialist assists physicians in performing a variety of invasive cardiac, electrophysiology and vascular procedures, to include call back rotation. Performs duties for the Invasive Cardiology Department as assigned by the manager, supervisor, or board coordinator.
