Qualifications

• Board-certified and licensed as Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant/Associate.
• Must have or obtain a National Provider Identifier (NPI) prior to starting employment.
• Current DEA Registration and appropriate state prescribing authority are necessary.
• Mandatory certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Preferred: Minimum one year of experience in cardiovascular critical care as a Nurse Practitioner or equivalent CVICU experience as a registered nurse.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to complex patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Administer treatments and medications as prescribed by the supervising physician.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to emergencies promptly.
• Educate patients and families regarding cardiovascular conditions and care plans.
