Full Job Description
The Cardiac Surgery division at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator at the rank of Associate Professor. Responsibilities include building and supporting a dedicated coronary artery surgery program with an emphasis on off-pump, robotic, and minimally invasive coronary surgery.

Qualified candidates will have completed an accredited training program in thoracic or cardiovascular surgery meeting the requirements for board certification in United States or the international equivalent. Qualified candidates will have at least 7 years experience in the practice of adult cardiac surgery including off-pump coronary operations and will have experience as first operator in robotic coronary operations.

The start date is negotiable and the position will remain open until filled.

The expected base pay range for this position is $538,425 - $868,411.

Northwestern University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including years since terminal degree, training, and field or discipline; departmental budget availability; internal comparators; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
