Short Description
  • Under the direction of the Heart Institute Executive Director, the Cardiology Coordinator plans, directs,coordinates, and supports all aspects of cardiology services delivered at the hospital.
  • The Cardiology coordinator works cohesively with all other hospital staff to collect data and serves as a liaison toassist nursing care areas and managements where there9s opportunity; serves as a service coordinator andliaison with multiple cardiology projects.
  • The Cardiology Coordinator develops and assists in staff/patient education, leads, participates in the quality improvement and quality compliance within the Cardiac Service Line.
Experience Required

Minimum of 5 years9 Clinical experience in a Cardiology Department Proficient in Clinical Cardiology definitions

Education Requirements

Work requires a high level of knowledge and clinical competencies; BSN preferred

License/Certification Requirements

NJ-RN Chest Pain Coordinaor Credentialed is preferred or working toward certification

Special Requirements

Detail oriented with strong technical, critical thinking ability and interpersonal skills relevant to area in order to effectively communicate with physicians, health team members, and community leaders. Ability to prioritize work with minimal supervision, in order to independently carries out the duties of the position. Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
