Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive perioperative anesthesia care
- Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations and assessments
- Obtain and/or verify informed patient consent
- Discuss anesthetic options, risks, and expected outcomes with patients and families
- Perform induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
- Monitor patients' physiological status throughout procedures
- Manage hemodynamic and clinical interventions as necessary
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, proceduralists, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes
Requirements- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology Residency
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
- Eligible for or currently holding an unrestricted Tennessee medical license
- Demonstrated expertise in the perioperative management of complex cardiac surgical patients
- ECFMG certification (if applicable)
