Job DescriptionOverviewThe Capture Manager drives early and sustained engagement across the pursuit lifecycle, from positioning and opportunity shaping through proposal delivery. This role builds and leads multidisciplinary bid teams to define win strategies, develop client-focused messaging, and strengthen competitive positioning for major infrastructure and advisory opportunities across Canada. It is not a proposal production role nor has commercial expectations; it provides strategic pursuit leadership to connects market insight, client needs, technical expertise, and clear storytelling.
Bilingual French/English capability is preferred. This role is based in Montre9al, Toronto or Vancouver.
Your role - Lead pursuit strategy, competitor analysis, and market research to identify clear differentiators, win themes, and client-focused value propositions.
- Facilitate strategic workshops and working sessions with senior leaders, technical experts, project managers, and business development teams.
- Develop project-specific BD presentation strategies and coach subject matter experts for client interviews, presentations, and major pursuit milestones.
- Support internal governance reviews, client engagement planning, and pursuit decision-making.
- Partner with Proposal Managers to shape content plans, guide proposal messaging, and support reviews that keep the bid client-centric and strategically aligned.
- Contribute to broader sales excellence initiatives, including key client management, growth strategy, and process improvement.
About you- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, engineering, planning, communications, journalism, public policy, or another relevant field.
- 5+ years of experience in strategy development, business development, capture, proposals, client engagement, communications, or complex project environments.
- PMP, APMP, or related professional certification is considered an asset.
- You bring experience in strategic planning, pursuit strategy, client engagement, business development, proposals, communications, or complex project environments.
- You translate technical and commercial information into clear, compelling strategies and messages.
- You are curious, proactive, and comfortable leading teams through ambiguity.
- You are a strong facilitator, writer, coach, and collaborator, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and influence stakeholders at different levels.
